Upsolar has announced the commissioning of its newest solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing platform in Braga, Portugal, in partnership with a major Portuguese player. Designed and installed by a leading European automatic line producer, the Braga platform will have an overall annual capacity of up to 30 MW.

Upsolar has a history of building strong partnerships with PV module manufacturing experts around the world. The company's newest platform serves as the first European manufacturing site for the company, in addition to its manufacturing platforms throughout Asia.

"Upsolar has achieved rapid growth throughout Europe in recent years, and we anticipate this trend to continue in the coming years. Our new Braga manufacturing platform will further boost Upsolar's ability to meet increased demand for our products across the continent," said Mr. Zhe Jiang, CEO of Upsolar.

"We will continue to ramp up production to serve current and future distribution partners at a host of sites around the world."

The platform will embody Upsolar's "Excellence at Each Step" approach to solar module manufacturing, where the company's on-site quality control team works alongside production partners to verify that they meet or exceed Upsolar's high standards at each stage of the manufacturing process.

Upsolar began serving the Portuguese solar market in 2008. Notable projects include a 12 MW installation in Ferreira do Alentejo, located in southeast Portugal.
