Beijing (AFP) Dec 16, 2010 Veteran US troubleshooter Bill Richardson arrived in North Korea on Thursday, China's official Xinhua news agency reported, amid heightened tensions on the Korean peninsula. The New Mexico governor, who said in Beijing before heading to Pyongyang that he hoped to "make a difference" in terms of calming the tense situation, was expected to stay in the secretive country until Monday. The Xinhua report did not give any further details.
