Blue Sky Network has announced the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Government has selected Blue Sky Network to provide flight tracking and voice capabilities aboard selected government operated aircraft.

The new equipment will streamline fleet management and enhance the security of its passengers, while improving the communication capabilities of the aircraft in flight.

In order to provide improved security for UAE government aircraft, flight operations has deployed Blue Sky Network's D1000A with ACH1000 global satellite tracking, and communications kits to enable voice and text messaging.

With the ACH1000 the pilot or co-pilot is able to receive calls directly through the headset and has the option of using speed dial or free dial features when making calls. Offering a simple email application that can be used anywhere, the D1000A provides the ability to connect EFBs, laptops or PDAs for easy two-way messaging via a web-based interface.

UAE flights operations also is using Blue Sky Network's SkyRouter web portal to receive near real time location reporting for online monitoring of fleets anywhere on Earth. From the SkyRouter fleet management system, they can track assets, communicate via simple text messaging, and receive and update trip plans.

"We are honored to have been selected by an operation that has such high standards for safety and security. It validates our longstanding commitment to providing the most reliable GPS tracking solutions for aviation and opens the door to increased use of our products and services across the region," says Carlton van Putten, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Blue Sky Network.

"Our fleet monitoring and satellite-based voice communications solutions incorporate hardware, tracking software and a reliable network that work together seamlessly. This provides a complete communications solution that ensures that UAE government officials are always globally connected."
