Aeris Communications announces that the company's coast-to-coast M2M network is supporting TrackNet's TotalTrack remote monitoring solution. TrackNet, a dynamic leader in GPS Fleet Management, provides remote monitoring services through its TotalTrack GPS Fleet Management System.

Operating over Aeris's GSM and CDMA networks, TotalTrack provides key monitoring services in the HVAC, plumbing, electrical contracting, paving, transit and distribution industries, saving companies approximately 12 percent in operational costs and six percent in insurance expenses. Companies that allow workers to take vehicles home see more savings due to reduced employee use of vehicles during non-work hours such as evenings and weekends.

"Aeris is a well-known brand with superior expertise in reliable wireless communications," said Bill Cahill, vice president, sales and marketing for TrackNet. "Our customers rely on us to provide them accurate, real-time data so it only made sense to select a company built around that same reliability."

TrackNet's TotalTrack service provides fleet managers the ability to monitor their fleets in real-time through an easy-to-read user interface that displays whether a vehicle is off, idling or the direction and rate of speed in which it is traveling.

"Monitoring high value assets by relying on standard cellular networks is not an optimized solution" said Mark Cratsenburg, senior vice president of sales for Aeris. "TrackNet's focus on total accountability for companies and fleet managers aligns perfectly with Aeris's expertise and focus."
