PV inverter manufacturer Sungrow Power Supply has announced that it has procured its first utility scale order for the United States market. Southern Sky Renewable Energy Ravenbrook, LLC has purchased 10 Sungrow SG500LV inverters for its 6.0 MW Ravenbrook Landfill Solar Project located in Carver, MA

The order was procured by Sungrow's authorized agent, SDL Solar LLC ("SDL"). "We are very excited to be the first to bring Sungrow to the US market," said Manny Sakellakis, Executive Partner of SDL Solar,LLC.

"As the landscape of the solar inverter market changes rapidly, I believe that Sungrow will capture a significant share of the US market in very short time. Sungrow's proven track record of reliability and versatility, coupled with a very low cost structure will prove to be very popular with solar integrators and investors here in the US."

"Southern Sky Renewable Energy Ravenbrook, LLC is pleased to partner with Sungrow and is confident that the Sungrow SG500LV inverters purchased will make the Ravenbrook Landfill Solar Project a success. Sungrow's superior technology and its commitment to the US market were important factors in our decision to purchase the Sungrow inverters," said Ralph Palumbo, member of Southern Sky Renewable Energy, LLC.

"The US solar market is one of the larger, more stable markets in the world, and crucial to Sungrow's long-term growth strategy. Sungrow is pleased to partner with Southern Sky Renewable Energy Ravenbrook, LLC, and will continue to build strong relationships and infrastructure across the continent with our first class engineering services and cost effective solutions," said Chairman Cao Renxian, CEO of Sungrow Power Supply.
