Solar Christmas In Culver City CA With Free Solar Building Permits

Culver City issued its first free solar building permit today. The Culver City building department is taking the lead to promote a wider adoption of green building materials and solar. Culver City is looking boost solar electric installations. This free permit was issued for a small commercial solar system. The Culver City motto is "The Heart of Screenland." It might become the heart of solar. "We got a free permit here... a free permit," shouted the Culver City building department employee processing the permit. "It's an early Christmas present," said another culver city resident waiting in the permit line. "Hey I'm building a solar house," said a home owner going over his plans with planners. Brad Bartz from ABCsolar.com said, "better get that solar permit before they change their minds!" Culver City's building department is very green and pro solar. Besides the free solar building permits, Culver City is pursing other city wide measures to increase adoption of renewable energy systems. The upcoming January 14, 2008 Culver City Council meeting should vote on a significant solar rules. Today's free solar building permit is a precursor for greats things to come from Culver City. At the Eco Dive Center, the free building permit recipient, it was celebration all around when Brad Bartz, president of ABC Solar Inc walked and announced the free solar permit. "It's a solar Christmas in Culver City," exclaimed Brad Bartz as he shook hands with the owner of the Eco Dive Center Ron Beltramo.

In pulling permits for the system at Culver City Hall, Bradley Bartz, president of ABC Solar Incorporated said, "it was a pleasure to work with the planning department who quickly approved this system and granted us a solar permit fee waiver!"
