Sidus Space (NASDAQ: SIDU), a company specializing in Space and Data-as-a-Service, has completed the launch preparation of its new satellite, LizzieSat, at the Astrotech Space Operations facility at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The satellite has been prepared for launch by attaching it to the separation system and the launch vehicle adapter for SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket. This marks LizzieSat's transition to SpaceX for the upcoming Transporter-10 mission, expected no earlier than March 2024.

LizzieSat incorporates the Sidus FeatherEdge AI platform, enhancing its capability to process data from space-based sensors. This feature is aimed at improving the satellite's utility in collecting and analyzing data for various industries, including defense, agriculture, maritime, and oil and gas.

Following the launch, Sidus Space plans to expand its services to a wider range of customers by offering customized data intelligence solutions. This expansion reflects the satellite's potential to provide valuable insights across different sectors.

Carol Craig, CEO and Founder of Sidus Space, commented on the satellite's capabilities, saying, "LizzieSat's multi-sensor data collection platform introduces a new way of consolidating data sources into a single asset in orbit. This approach is expected to change how industries can access and use important information."

Sidus Space is also working on expanding the LizzieSat constellation, with more satellites in production for launches scheduled in 2024 and beyond. This effort underlines the company's ongoing commitment to enhancing space technology and its applications.
