Sidus Space (NASDAQ: SIDU) announced at the World Space Business Week (WSBW) conference in Paris that it has entered into an agreement with Neuraspace to boost its LizzieSat constellation operations. Neuraspace will offer Space Traffic Management (STM) and Launch and Early Operations (LEOP) support, enhancing Sidus Space's capabilities in managing its satellite constellation.

"This agreement is a strategic step as we prepare for the launch of our next LizzieSat satellite, which is manifested to launch later this year," said Carol Craig, CEO of Sidus Space. "Precise situational awareness of our on-orbit assets is imperative to delivering solutions to our customers. We believe that the high accuracy and efficiency enabled by Neuraspace's advanced AI and ML capabilities makes them the right STM partner for Sidus."

Neuraspace will support Sidus by providing high-precision tracking and real-time conjunction screening through a global network of ground-based sensors, such as optical, radar, and laser systems. They will also deliver refined orbit determination and timely two-line element (TLE) data, ensuring safe satellite separation and identification.

Dr. Chiara Manfletti, CEO of Neuraspace, commented, "WSBW is a tremendous platform to network and exchange ideas with industry leaders on a world stage. It was the perfect opportunity for Sidus and Neuraspace to finalize this exciting agreement. Sidus' LizzieSat constellation will benefit from the real-time collaborative exchange that Neuraspace's services enable between satellite operators, which is the foundation for a sustainable space infrastructure."

Neuraspace, a European-based company, offers cutting-edge solutions and services aimed at making space safe, secure, and sustainable. Its real-time automated space traffic management and mission support systems utilize AI and machine learning to deliver critical insights and process automation.

Simple shift could make low Earth orbit satellites high capacity
Princeton NJ (SPX) Sep 16, 2024
Low-orbit satellites could soon offer millions of people worldwide access to high-speed communications, but the satellites' potential has been stymied by a technological limitation - their antenna arrays can only manage one user at a time. The one-to-one ratio means that companies must launch either constellations of many satellites, or large individual satellites with many arrays, to provide wide coverage. Both options are expensive, technically complex, and could lead to overcrowded orbits. ... read more
