Moscow, Russia (Sputnik) Feb 05, 2015

Rosatom and the IAEA are the global partners, working together to promote international cooperation on peaceful uses of nuclear power.

Russian national nuclear corporation Rosatom and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) agreed on cooperation priorities for 2015 at a regular joint consultation in Vienna, the corporation's press center said in a statement Wednesday.

Rosatom held talks with IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano, summarizing the results of 2014 and planning joint projects in 2015.

"We also carried out meetings on primary issues of Russian and the IAEA's cooperation with the organization's deputy director generals. All the meetings were held in a constructive atmosphere and were considered as timely and useful by the participants," the statement read.

Rosatom's Deputy CEO for International Relations Nikolay Spasskiy together with Russia's permanent envoy to international agencies in Vienna, Vladimir Voronkov, represented the country at the consultations.
