-

Romantis GmbH, as a part of an international group of companies specializing in space segment sales and VSAT network solutions, has announced it has entered into a new distribution agreement with iSat, a consulting systems integrator providing satellite ground and network infrastructure, that will enable the company to extend its global reach and promote its products broadly in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

On the basis of this agreement iSat will distribute innovative Romantis UHP-1000/8000 satellite routers - an 'all-in-one' technology universal hardware platform supporting SCPC, TDM/SCPC, TDM/TDMA or TDMA Full Mesh only by selection of respective optional software versions/keys.

"I am pleased by decision of the iSat Management to become our Distributor. Their strong position in the satellite systems market, combined with their unparalleled reputation for delivery, support and customer service, made them the obvious choice as a partner for the EMEA market",- said Dr. Harald W. Stange, Managing Director and CEO, Romantis GmbH.

"Customer reaction to our market research has shown enormous interest in the area of growth between 10 to 100 VSATs. They are amazed at the value, flexibility and size of this product. It's really given iSat an opportunity to integrate this unit with our existing RF expertise in hubs, fly-aways and SNG style products. ," said CEO of iSat, David Harper.

"We particularly like the LDPC error correction in the TDMA return channel that Romantis offers which gives customers enormous bandwidth efficiency. With a simple user interface requiring little or no training, and the lowest hub costs, Romantis ticks all the boxes for what customers want from their satellite ground technology. We look forward to long association, growth and success with Romantis."
