Quectel Wireless Solutions, a global leader in IoT solutions, has achieved a significant milestone with its satellite communication module, the CC200A-LB, now certified by major international regulatory bodies, including CE, FCC, IC, and RCM. This recent development confirms the module's compliance with satellite network standards across key global markets: Europe, North America, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

The CC200A-LB module stands out for its cost-effectiveness and ultra-low latency, offering reliable and uninterrupted global network connectivity. This positions it as an ideal solution for industries such as maritime, transportation, heavy equipment, agriculture, mining, and oil and gas monitoring, especially in regions where cellular networks are sparse or unreliable.

It features robust two-way communication, low latency, and comprehensive global coverage. When combined with cellular modules, the CC200A-LB enables unique dual-mode IoT applications, offering unparalleled reliability, redundancy, and ubiquitous coverage. This is particularly beneficial in situations where cellular network coverage is inadequate or disrupted, allowing IoT devices to maintain communication through satellite connections.

Designed with a streamlined LCC+LGA package, the CC200A-LB measures 37mm + 38mm + 3.35mm. It also includes multi-constellation GNSS positioning for rapid and precise device location identification. The module's user-friendly AT command set allows for easy configuration and management.

Customers have the option to purchase the module either individually or with a Quectel antenna, a feature that aids in accelerating the time-to-market of customer devices.

In addition to the CC200A-LB, Quectel has expanded its portfolio with a range of satellite communication modules. The CC660D-LS, for instance, aligns with 3GPP NTN R17 standards and offers two-way communication, support for multiple frequency bands, low latency, and low power consumption. The BG95-S5 and BG770A-SN modules provide support for both satellite and cellular networks, ensuring comprehensive coverage for IoT applications.

This development represents a significant step forward for Quectel in the satellite communication arena, underlining their commitment to providing advanced, reliable IoT solutions on a global scale.
