Lynk Global, Inc., a pioneer in satellite-direct-to-device (D2D) communications, has completed a successful demonstration of its proprietary technology in collaboration with Turkcell (NYSE: TKC), Turkiye's largest mobile provider, serving over 40 million users. This joint initiative marks a significant advancement in Lynk's ongoing mission to deploy D2D connectivity across Turkiye, following a partnership announced in February 2024 aimed at bolstering network reliability and nationwide coverage.

"We are thrilled to add Turkiye to the growing list of countries where Lynk has showcased its patented and proven technology. Along with Turkcell, Lynk is committed to enhancing connectivity across rural areas in Turkiye, including in emergencies when terrestrial networks are temporarily inoperable," said Ramu Potarazu, CEO of Lynk.

Turkcell, recognized for its innovation in mobile communications, joined forces with Lynk to execute Turkiye's inaugural direct-to-device field trials. The campaign demonstrated real-time mobile connectivity-including SMS, voice, and data services-using Lynk's LEO satellite constellation and Turkcell's licensed spectrum. Taking place near the rural region of Konya, the test enabled successful text and voice communication through standard mobile handsets, with no need for specialized equipment or external antennas.

This demonstration underscores the potential of satellite-based mobile coverage to extend network reach into underserved and remote communities while offering vital backup solutions during emergency outages.
