The U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency Americas Regional Center has given a task order to Leidos to provide all-source intelligence analysis.

The task order, under the DIA Solutions for Intelligence Analysis II contract, is for a period of five years. If all options are exercised, its total value would be about $25 million.

Leidos said that under the task order its all-source analysis will focus on counter-narcotics trafficking, social network/open-source analysis, and transnational organized crime finance analysis.

Leidos will also support the needs of the Defense Critical Infrastructure Program.

Work under the task order will be conducted at Joint Base-Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C. Additional details, however, were not provided.

"We look forward to continuing to support the DIA as they work to counter the activities of transnational organized crime and narcotics cartels, as well as assist in securing the critical infrastructure supporting the DOD," Leidos Group President Mary Craft said.

Cloud security reaches silicon
Boston MA (SPX) Apr 30, 2015
In the last 10 years, computer security researchers have shown that malicious hackers don't need to see your data in order to steal your data. From the pattern in which your computer accesses its memory banks, adversaries can infer a shocking amount about what's stored there. The risk of such attacks is particularly acute in the cloud, where you have no control over whose applications are ... read more
