Hesco Armor has achieved two new quality certification standards for design and manufacture of hard ballistic resistant body armor, the company announced Monday.

The achievement of the International Standardization Organization (ISO) and Body Armor (BA) quality standard certificates comes after the implementation of Hesco Armor's current quality management system in 2015, with certification following in one year, Hesco said in a statement.

The ISO standard emphasizes quality management principles such as customer focus and continual improvement.

The BA standard was created by the U.S. National Institute of Justice and covers body armor manufacturing processes.

Hesco will transition its quality management system to the ISO standard's newest version in the next two years.

Also this week, Hesco announced its latest collaboration with Safariland, which recently launched their high-end, lightweight plate that was developed with Hesco technology.
