Eye Lighting International Focuses Efforts On Solar Simulation Apps

EYE Lighting International of North America, a subsidiary of Iwasaki Electric Co. Ltd., announced the assignment of Gary Brown to Managing Director for Applied Optics and Solar Simulation of North America. Gary will report to Tatsuo Nakamura , V.P. and General Manager of Business Development for Applied Optics.

The expansion of this group will provide necessary resources to focus new development efforts on the rapidly expanding solar energy market.

Mr. Nakamura joined Iwasaki Electric Co. Ltd., Japan in 1972 and has held the position of Director of Applied Optics for EYE Lighting International of North America in Mentor since 2005. During his time at EYE, Mr. Nakamura has had responsibility for establishing and growing the Applied Optics Group in North America with its market leading, high-speed photography lighting innovations.

"We are very fortunate to have Mr. Nakamura continue his leadership of the Applied Optics Group with our expanding focus on Solar Simulation." said Keith T.S. Ward, President of EYE Lighting NA. "Mr. Nakamura has made tremendous contributions throughout his long history with this company and EYE will continue its investments in areas targeted at reducing our carbon footprint."

Mr. Brown joined EYE Lighting International of North America, Inc. in 2002. Most recently he managed EYE Lighting's Central Region NA commercial and industrial sales. Gary will now be responsible for client development, strategic marketing, and application engineering for the Solar Simulation systems.

Mr. Brown came to EYE Lighting International with more than 25 years experience in marketing and application engineering. During his time with EYE, Gary has developed a deep understanding of lighting technology and is a certified lighting consultant.

With the addition of Mr. Brown and his broad background in systems and application engineering, I am confident this team understands the needs of solar simulation customers and can apply our wealth of lighting technology to develop best-in-class systems to advance sustainable energy solutions in NA" stated Mr. Ward.
