by Staff Writers
Richardson TX (SPX) Sep 20, 2012

The THEIA HE-t solar inverter.

Eltek has announced that its THEIA HE-t solar inverter has been certified by the internationally recognized SunSpec Alliance. Successful testing and achievement of SunSpec Alliance certification is an important milestone, as it verifies that technology such as Eltek's THEIA HE-t, meets interoperability specifications which helps drive universal compatibility for renewable energy devices and services.

SunSpec Alliance is a renewable energy coalition formed to establish open IT standards for solar photovoltaic (PV) components and systems that reduce costs, promote innovation and accelerate industry growth. Eltek is among the more than 50 SunSpec members, including companies from Asia, Europe and North America.

"We truly enjoyed the opportunity to interact with other cutting-edge PV companies at PlugFest and to demonstrate the interoperability and high efficiency of the THEIA HE-t," said Morten Schoyen, CMO of Eltek.

"This SunSpec Alliance certification gives customers an added assurance that our inverter is compatible with other certified products such as data loggers, meters, and environmental systems."

The THEIA HE-t series inverters deliver 97 percent efficiency and are lightweight and compact. The units feature a flexible connection set, backlit color display and integrated web server for quick configuration and easy operation.

The THEIA HE-t has won multiple design and performance awards. PHOTON International, a prominent international solar energy magazine, awarded the THEIA HE-t it's "A rating" for performance at both medium and high solar irradiance. It won the prestigious red dot award: product design 2012, as well as the Norwegian Design Council Award for Design Excellence for demonstrating innovative industrial product design.

The award-winning, highly-efficient Eltek THEIA HE-t product line is available now from Eltek's worldwide sales force and resellers.
