A new cyber-security center has been officially launched in Britain by Alert Logic for its expanding European customer base.

The European Security Operations Center is located in Cardiff, Wales, and will deliver enterprise-grade service for the Alert Logic suite of network, system and application security technologies.

"IT teams are not resourced to adequately respond to the marked increase in security and cyber-attack threats," said Gray Hall, chief executive officer at Alert Logic, a U.S.-headquartered security-as-a-service company for the cloud. "The opening of our new European SOC, coupled with our recently launched UK datacenter, enables us to be closer to our European customers, delivering them continuous protection, and deep security and compliance insight, no matter where their IT resides, whether it's in the cloud, on-premises or in a hybrid environment."

The company said its security analysts at the center and its technology will transform raw security event data into actionable incidents, providing a valuable perspective on global threat activity to increase the security and compliance posture of any organization. The Alert Logic Research team will also track and analyze multiple intelligence source feeds to deliver security content to the Alert Logic Cloud.

"Up-to-date security content enables the Alert Logic solutions to eliminate irrelevant events and hone in on those events that warrant investigation by an analyst," the company said. "Alert Logic's investment in mining threat intelligence, creating content continuously, and managing content for our customers means organizations are protected at a level few could obtain with their internal IT staff."
