Chlorine leak at Siberian chemical factory: report

About 30 kilograms of chlorine have leaked at a chemical factory in the Siberian region of Irkutsk but there were no immediate reports of casualties, Russia's Interfax news agency said Thursday.

"On Wednesday, as a result of a faulty compressor in the Usoliekhim factory some 30 kilograms of chlorine leaked," a local official from the emergency ministry said, according to Interfax.
