Marchini Farms, a premium grower of over a dozen varieties fresh produce and nuts including Radicchio, figs and almonds, has announced the commissioning of its solar photovoltaic system.

The solar system was designed, engineered and installed by Cenergy Power, a commercial solar developer with market-leading solar solutions. The large solar system spreads across the Marchini production facility on carports, ground and roofs, and will supply clean solar power to cold storage and processing operations.

The +25 year system is expected to

(i) generate over 830,120 kilowatt hours of solar power per year,

(ii) offset over 80% of the facility's electric utility usage,

(iii) pay for itself in less than 5 years, and

(iv) reduce the facility's carbon footprint by nearly 596 metric tons of CO2 per year.

"We were contemplating various expansion ideas for our facility. The agreement had to pencil for us and Cenergy Power made sure of that," says Joe Marchini, President at J. Marchini Farms.

"In addition to quick return on our capital, we feel great about being more energy independent while reducing our carbon footprint. We were very impressed with Cenergy's focus on quality workmanship and timely project delivery."

"This is a marquee project for Cenergy due to the Marchini family's legendary status as a first-class family in Central Valley. We are honored that they selected Cenergy for both the solar installation and ongoing maintenance of the solar system," said Nader Yarpezeshkan, Director of Sales and Marketing at Cenergy Power.

As part of the solar arrangement, Cenergy Power will be providing 10 years of scheduled operations and maintenance ("O and M") work, including but not limited to touch-free panel cleanings, preventative maintenance and repair, and overall system warranties.
