Aerodata AG has secured a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) for its GPS Anti-Jamming and Anti-Spoofing system. This newly certified technology is compatible with Garmin 5000 avionics and is installed in Cessna Citation Latitude aircraft.

In response to the rising risk of GPS jamming and spoofing affecting civil and military aviation, Aerodata developed this solution to ensure GPS reliability remains unbroken. The technology addresses increasing GPS interference and maintains the reliability of GPS-dependent systems, even in challenging GPS-denied environments, which is vital for safe aviation operations.

Aerodata's GPS solution also enhances capabilities in special mission operations, particularly for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) tasks and Flight Inspection missions, where precise and uninterrupted navigation is essential. The Anti-Jamming and Anti-Spoofing system further minimizes the risk to unmanned platforms, securing both manned and unmanned missions from GPS-based threats. Following extensive testing and validation, Aerodata plans to adapt the technology for additional aircraft models, aiming to support a wide range of applications across civil and defense sectors.

"As incidents of GPS interference rise, it is essential that the aviation industry responds with effective solutions to ensure continuous GPS availability. This STC represents a significant advancement in ensuring the future safety in civil and military aviation," said Neset Tukenmez, CEO and President at Aerodata AG.
