Successful SpaceX escape test 'bodes well for future'

SpaceX's Dragon capsule sailed through the first flight test of its emergency astronaut escape feature Wednesday, a critical step toward launching people into space from US soil in the next two years. Not only did the abort test go according to plan, it also gave the California-based company a chance to showcase a spacecraft that it says could one day carry cargo to deep space destinations like Mars and beyond.
