. Thuraya Partners With Speakerbus For Netted Communications Solution For MSS Industry

To diversify its portfolio of products, Thuraya Telecommunications Company, the world leading mobile satellite operator has partnered with Speakerbus, the specialist provider of mission-critical voice systems, to provide a comprehensive Netted Communications solution to its customer base.

According to the agreement, netted voice products of Speakerbus will be available to the mobile satellite industry for the first time through Thuraya as a service branded Thuraya NettedComms. The world leading mobile satellite operator will be an exclusive distributor of Thuraya NettedComms for a period spanning three years.

Based on Thuraya's world-class satellite network, the Thuraya NettedComms service is a leading edge solution that integrates different communication technologies into a single closed user group, enabling users to communicate effectively. The service brings together ThurayaIP, Thuraya handhelds, Public Switch Telephone Networks, GSM and radio systems to provide robust netted communications - a unique capability providing a powerful communications solution.

Thuraya NettedComms is designed for a variety of target segments that include the government, military, homeland security, maritime, NGO, emergency services and disaster management sectors.

Thuraya's Chief Commercial Officer Dr. Sven Rohte said, "We are very excited about our partnership with Speakerbus that has resulted in a cutting edge service such as Thuraya NettedComms.
