Long Beach - Sept. 11, 2000 SAT Corporation (SAT), a subsidiary of Integral Systems, Inc, will design and deliver to Space Systems/Loral a communications simulator for the Telstar 8 satellite that SS/L is currently building. The simulator will provide for the ground-based testing of both the C-band and Ka-band transponders that will be deployed on the Telstar 8 satellite over the lifetime of the satellite. "Development of the Telstar 8 simulator will provide SAT with experience in testing Ka-band transponders that will complement our planned deployment of Communication Signal Monitoring systems for Ka-band satellite monitoring," said Hugh Pearce, President and CEO of SAT. "This program is a natural progression of SAT's development of test and monitoring systems for the communications satellite industry." Founded in 1982, Integral Systems is a leading provider of satellite ground systems and has supported over 120 different satellite missions for communications, science, meteorological and earth resource applications.
