Orbimage Announces Awards Totaling $6.1M Of ClearView Orders From The NGA

Orbimage's OrbView-3 commercial satellite.

Dulles VA (SPX) Sep 23, 2005
Orbimage has received new orders totaling $6.1M under its ClearView contract with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

These new orders represent increases in the volume of high resolution commercial imagery that will be collected with Orbimage's OrbView-3 commercial satellite or supplied from our existing commercial archive holdings.

In addition, Orbimage will supply high accuracy multi-source imagery products derived through fusion of both commercial satellite imagery and government imagery.

"We are very pleased by this opportunity to increase our support to one of our most important customers," said Matthew O'Connell, Orbimage's Chief Executive Officer.

"These recent awards from NGA reflect the US Government's increasing reliance on the commercial satellite imaging industry to support its global geospatial intelligence mission."
