Pasadena CA (SPX) May 19, 2006
NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory announced Thursday it will host its 9th Space Science Symposium for Small Business on Monday, June 5, at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, Va.

The symposium will feature senior officials showcasing NASA programs in space science, Earth and life sciences, microgravity and other areas. The program also will include interactive sessions catering to high-tech small businesses that highlight business opportunities in future NASA programs and missions.

NASA supports high-tech small businesses and seek to expand their pool of potential suppliers for future missions and projects, the space agency said in a statement.

Presenters will highlight what skills, resources and technologies are needed for NASA's upcoming space science missions, programs and research.

Participation is open to industry, academia and small businesses only. Registration is $100 per attendee. Pre-registration is recommended, because space is limited to the first 250 people. Hotel accommodations must be made prior to May 22 to obtain a special rate.
