Russia should retain high positions in aircraft manufacturing - Medvedev
Moscow (Voice of Russia) Nov 25 - Russia should retain its position among the top three aircraft producers.
A statement to this effect was made by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev as he addressed a government meeting on Friday.
Russia's high positions among the global aircraft manufacturers should be envisaged by the government's aircraft industry development program for the period until 2025, Medvedev said adding that civil aviation development should be an issue of primary concern.
According to Dmitry Medvedev, the rapid ageing of the Russian aircraft fleet, particularly regional aircraft, makes it imperative for domestic manufacturers to saturate the Russian market with competitive aviation technology.
